- Which of these meals pack well into a school lunchbox?
- The paneer paratha roll, veg fried rice, curd rice, pasta, biryani, frankie, cutlets, aloo tikki with roti, pizza toast and khichdi all travel well. Pack anything crisp separately from anything wet so it stays crisp.
- My child will not eat visible vegetables. What do I do?
- Grate rather than chop for the cutlets, frankie and pasta sauce, and blend the tomato soup smooth. Carrot, peas, capsicum and cauliflower all disappear into those four dishes without changing how they taste.
- Is this plan suitable for a toddler?
- Partly. Khichdi, curd rice, dal with ghee rice, idli and pancakes suit toddlers as written. The frankie, manchurian and pizza toast are better held back for older children, and portions should be roughly halved.
